The Halloween Extravaganza was Friday, October 31. The extravaganza is a great way to bring the school together and see all the creative ideas everyone has. The extravaganza is organized by Mr. Gonzalez. He says, “My favorite part of the Halloween Extravaganza is seeing all the creative costumes our students make. This year’s costumes were especially impressive! So many great, homemade examples.”
The extravaganza takes place in the auditorium and there’s a costume contest! The students are called up by their grade and first period class. The costume contest is split up by single and group costumes. First, single costumes come up and then once they exit the stage, the students in group costumes find their groups and go up on stage. It’s amazing to see all the costumes!
The winners are also split based on grade. In each grade there are three winners for single costumes and only one winning group. The sixth grade went first and the sixth grader that won first was Indiana Jones, second was a Zombie and third was an Aviator. The winner for sixth grade group costume was Cops and Robbers.
For seventh grade first was Papa Smurf second was Marry Poppins and third was Doc Octopus. The winner for seventh grade group costumes was Jaws. For eighth grade first was Frank Ocean and third was Luffy. The winners for eighth grade group costumes were Zombies.
