This summer, everybody is going nuts because of what Sony and Microsoft unveiled, the PS4 and the XBox One. Many who have experienced either or both new consoles have their own preferences and opinions as to which one’s better. It begs the question to those who are shopping this holiday season, which console should you get? Let’s look at the facts.
Pros and Cons of Microsoft’s Xbox One
Pro: The Xbox One has amazing voice recognition, just ask Kinect to “Launch Skype” or “Play Madden 25” and it will do what you say.
Pro: Kinect is back and better than ever! Rumors say that Kinect can even recognize finger movements!
Pro: XBox One connects to your cable box, so you can watch TV within your XBox One.
Con: Say goodbye to used games. Once a game has been put into a console, it can’t be put in another one. For example, if your best friend has a game that you don’t, it can ONLY be used in their XBox One.
Con: Xbox one is $499.99! Yeah, it’s expensive!
Pros and Cons of Sony’s PS4
Pro: It is $399.99; $100 cheaper than the XBox One!
Pro: The new controller is heavier (most gamers think it’s more comfortable) and has a small touch pad on the controller.
Con: It does not offer voice recognition and does not connect to your cable box for watching TV within the PS4.
Con: You’re already thrilled with your PS3. It’s got Netflix and Hulu and online gameplay, so it will be tough to switch.
Both consoles have their things the other one doesn’t, however, after a look at the facts we believe Sony’s PS4 is the way to go. The lower price and new controller make it a winner!
