Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat was terrific! Not only were the songs and the dance numbers entertaining, they also were perfectly done and showed complete talent.
One song called “Go, Go, Go, Joseph” was very catchy and had the audience singing it days after!
One of the show’s highlight scenes was when Joseph’s brothers had come for food and did not even realize that their brother was the important Egyptian they were speaking with.
Sammy Almaras, who played Joseph, put forth a superb singing, dancing and acting performance. Director Ms. DeFalco made a great decision picking him for the lead.
The musical received a full house both nights of the show. It featured many students and it was a perfect night out for families. Watching the musical was much better than sitting home on the couch. Others felt this way, too. Here are some viewer reviews I heard about Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat…
“… Extremely entertaining!” “The actors did a great job!”
“… Better than Broadway!!!” “ The songs and dances were really fun!”
“ I just loved it!”
Daniel Schwartz, who played “Potiphar”, consistently made the audience laugh. “Everything in the musical went just right and it was SUPER fun to participate in,” said the sixth grader.
Overall, Joseph was a wonderful experience. The beautiful music, lead by the pit orchestra and pianist Corey Conley, really brought everything together. The narrators had splendid voices and were very nice to listen to throughout the musical. Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat was, as the name says, amazing!
