There have been many theories for the identity of the mysterious Supreme Leader Snoke. Guesses have ranged from Darth Plagus to even Jar Jar Binks! But a very new and popular candidate for Snoke’s identity is Jedi Master Syfo-dyas.

SYFO-DYAS

Master Syfo-dyas was a powerful Jedi Master during the Republic era before the rise of the Galactic Empire. Since during his time the Separatists were constantly attacking the Republic, Syfo-dyas believed that the Republic was in need of an army, a strong army. As a result, he contacted Kamino, who were known for cloning, and pretended the request was from the Galactic Senate.

However, it did not end well for Syfo-dyas.

THE DEATH OF SYFO-DYAS

The Sith Lord, Count Dooku, also known as Darth Tyranus, hired a criminal family called The Pikes, because they wanted to be superior to other families. They accepted Dooku’s offer and shot down Syfo-dyas’ shuttle. That was seemingly the end of the Jedi Master.  However, don’t you think that it would take more than a ship crashing down to kill a Jedi Master? I also suspected that.

Shortly after the crash, Jedi Master Plo-koon travels to the crash site and discovered Syfo-dyas’ lightsaber, but no body. This may be solid evidence that Syfo-dyas was brought to Dooku by the Pikes for proof.

AFTER THE CRASH

As I just mentioned, Syfo-dyas was brought to Dooku for proof, but was probably still alive. During the Clone Wars, Yoda sees a vision of which appears to be Syfo-dyas, chained up, looking like he has been imprisoned for years. However, the reason Yoda is seeing this is because Darth Sidious is teasing him with this vision, basically saying that Syfo-dyas is still out there. During the vision, Syfo-dyas says, “Help me. Help me, please, Yoda. I’ve been in prison for so long.” Although the reason that Yoda is seeing this is because of Sidious, this is basically saying that Syfo-dyas is still out there.

BECOMING SNOKE

As you know, Dooku chained up Syfo-dyas. He and Sidious physically torchered him with force lightning, which is known to deform those inflicted by it. And, finally, he escaped the clutches of the Sith. But he left as a different person, not as Syfo-dyas, but Supreme leader Snoke. During the time that he was imprisoned, he now saw what the Sith and the Jedi truly are, which explains why Snoke is neither Sith nor Jedi.

WRAP-UP

This theory, if it were true, would explain everything. It would explain how Snoke saw the rise and fall of the empire. It would explain why Kylo Ren is neither Sith nor Jedi. And it would prove how Snoke knows the Dark AND Light side of the force.
