Want to know what’s going on with the Middle School musical?
On Friday, November 22 at 7:00 and Saturday, November 23 at 5:30 in the Auditorium come down and see some of your friends put on a magnificent version of “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat”.
To get to this big performance the students and staff have had to put in a lot of work and effort. Everyone involved has spent many hours of their time to make this show the best it can be. Ms. DeFalco (director), Ms. Newhouse (choreographer), Mr. Conley (music director), and all other assistants and helpers have dedicated lots of their time and energy to make this an enjoyable experience and outstanding show.
Let’s find out what Ms. DeFalco thinks about the performance:
Q: Why did you pick “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat”?
Ms. DeFalco: I picked “Joseph” because I thought it would be a fun show to do! It incorporates singing, dancing, and fun. I also was excited about being able to include Springhurst kids in the production.
Q: Is there anything the audience should know before seeing the show?
Ms. DeFalco: The audience may be familiar with the story, so I think they should be ready to have some fun, and clap along with the end!
Q: How do you think the show is coming along?
Ms. DeFalco: I think the students in the show are really stepping it up this week. Tech week can be really difficult, with incorporating costumes, scenery, props, make-up, as well as the singing and dancing, but everyone is doing their best and bringing their “A” game.
Q: What is the most exciting thing about putting on a show?
Ms. DeFalco: The most exciting thing about putting on a show is watching students transform and become better performers onstage. I love seeing the excitement that happens with kids falling in love with theater, and supporting each other as cast members both onstage and off.
Q: If you had to describe the cast in one word/phrase, what would it be?
Ms. DeFalco: Energetic!
Well there you have it. Come down and see your friends put on a fantastic performance of “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat”.
